Douchebag Entrepreneur

Douchebag Entrepreneur

OK It is Friday afternoon – evening for my friends east of here and I am going to lighten up!

Every now and then people tell me to lighten up and not be so serious – so to honor that request and keep my close friends and business associates.  It may be more often now versus then!  I will use my mad speed-blogging and research skills to do an article on some thing stupid.  So this afternoon I thought I would use my proprietary blogging process and focus on two words – Douchebag and Entrepreneur and compare contrast and blend them.

First starting with my research partner Google Wonderwheel. I don’t know what it was… but gosh if Google didn’t go and hide Wonderwheel on me and make me go looking all over for it!  I guess my most valued supplier-partner Google was just trying to protect me from self-destructing today!  Well lo and behold I guess we just don’t know what douchebag means – out of 8 terms on wonderwheel 5 of them were about what it means.

So to help us all understand better just what a douchebag is the following do not count:

  • I don’t know what the definition is but I sure know one when I meet them or
  • the new hip term pronounced (doo-shay-bag)

So lets go with the most popular and relevant to the topic at hand Douchebag Entrepreneur — how does this fit? From Urban DictionarySomeone who: talks shit, starts shit, wont finish their shit, and at the end of the day still thinks they own the universe.

I like that one – have met a few of those myself.  So let’s move on to my next keyword Entrepreneur  and here it is the best definition of an entrepreneur I could find! Again quoted from urban dictionary

Knows a little of something but lots of everything. Loves starting things then delegating them to others. Hates bosses, rules, authority and taxes. Thinks Donald Trump should have a golden statue errected in his honour. Probably doesntreally know how to spell entrepreneur.

So lets see if we can create our blended definition of Douchebag Entrepreneur:

Knows a little bit of something, talks shit like he knows everything. Loves starting shit and never finishing it and blaims it on the guy in India he outsourced it to for $3 an hour.  Never had a boss he liked or that liked him. Never met a rule he could understand or follow but can explain everyone of them to you. And he believes and tells you they are going to erect a statue of him in his hometown cuz he is such an internet rockstar!

HMMMM is that entrepeneur or is it entreprenuer -ahh- don’t know – don’t care – don’t matter – but I know I am one!

Chime in – did I hit the mark?

This article was so funny made my day glenn! I have so met a ton of those entrepreneurs – especially ones my age that have never even held a decent job – but are social media and internet business experts! It is refreshing to see an experienced entrepreneur adding value to those to us out here. Thanks again

    • glenn says:

Demi thanks for your comment on the article and nice words – please drop by again and chime in again. I concur with the theme here of its unfortunate but keeps us remembering what not to do…

Glenn – It is nice to see you share your lighter side! Made me laugh friday nite – had to come back and tell you! you picked great stuff from the urban dictionary – I think your definition of an entrepreneur – sorry douche bag entrepreneur – was/is unfortunately a little accurate of many dark side entrepreneurs out there. If I didn’t know better I might even take a guess it is somebody I know! LOL

    • glenn says:

Aaron how have you been! drop me a note! I will look to show that lighter side abit more often – love the urbandictionary too – just found it first time really using it – will be back for more I highly recommend it – It is a fun distraction now and then!

Found this on Digg today – too funny – great humor, insight and unfortunately too accurate. On the brighter side there are lots of great entrepreneurs out there, (like what I see on your site too) and I want to attract that group – but had to stop, read laugh and throw you a comment. Keep up the good stuff

  11. Stuart The Entrepreneur says:

As an entrepreneur I appreciated your humor and you expressing your funny feelings. As an entrepreneur yourself it is OK to poke fun at us and being on the receiving end it feels OK. There are a bunch of the profile DB Entrepreneurs out there and thank god a large number of good guys and gals too! Nice funny article Thanks

  12. Ina says:

OK Glenn got to know – who or what inspired you on this????

    • glenn says:

      Ina
I actually had no real inspiration to the term/post. I had one of those mystical experiences. My wife Noelle used to work with a guy that everyone called DB – he knew it and used it. And she would describe his behavior that earned him that label. I always thought that innovation is never about creating something totally new out of nothing – it usually is a new way of doing something or it takes pieces of a few things or combines a couple. So I was expressing my mystical innovation mode and having fun at it. As an entrepreneur I also guess its my way of poking fun at my profession as I have poked fun at accountants for decades – because I was trained to be one. (the accountant training never stuck – but it helped set how I can look at things)

  13. Jerry says:

LOL, I started crackin up about half way, through and didn’t stop till the end. Glad to see you pointing that laser like focus on something frivolous and fun. Then I started thinking what’s Glenn really up to? I logged out of my google account and searched “Douchebag Entrepreneur,” and guess what?

You actually changed history! First 3 spots for the term so in the midst of all this poking fun you actually ran a successful experiment. Now if I could just find that damn wonder wheel to see if you changed that too! Thanks for innovating and the comic relief this morning keep up the great work.

    • glenn says:

      Dude
Thanks for stopping in! Amazing sometimes the results you can get with anything if you follow a process that works! LOL Not my intended outcome – but definitely a fun and funny result.

  14. Spiro says:

Found this on Digg today – laughed my way all the way through it! You did blend a couple of interesting topics – and came up with a winner – what an innovator! I second jerry’s comments! And your reply about process!

    • glenn says:

Spiro Thanks for letting me know you found our post on Douchebag Entrepreneur via Digg – we appreciate it Come back and visit again soon

  15. Cari says:

  16. Tori says:
