I have been using a piece of software now for about 6 months called Comment Kahuna.  It is a free piece of software available as a free download from their website. (Download Comment Kahuna Here)  There is No catch and it is not a Try It Free – Then Buy Later program.

What Does Comment Kahuna Do?

Comment Kahuna helps you build backlinks to your blog.  More importantly – Comment Kahuna helps you create relevant backlinks to your blog.  There are literally countless websites and services that will get you 1000’s of backlinks with automation.  These backlinks can if you are not careful actually damage your website development and SEO efforts.  Google is constantly editing and updating their secret system to identify these type of autoamted backlinks and when they do – many times that will result in your getting penalized – “sandboxed” by Google eliminating all your hard work too!

Benefits of Comment Kahuna

Comment Kahuna allows you to select blogs based upon the keywords you choose, pagerank of the blog you are searching for and even allows you to select follow or no-follow blogs. This can really help you depending on what your strategy is.  If you are working on your pagerank and looking for backlinks from hi-pagerank blogs it helps!  If you want to draw in interested readers and don’t care about the pagerank – you can access many hi-traffic blogs and add to their conversation.  This can be done by putting a link to a recent post on your blog in your comment.  These can be done by comment Kahuna either as an embedded target keyword link like this Market Samurai Review or  telling the readers about a post you did on the topic with your link just pasted http://www.beasuccessfulentrepreneur.com/market-samurai-review/.

I love the ability to automate your name, email address and blog url in your profile and even setting up a standard signature with your name, tagline and website.  As you are becoming aware if you visit my blog regularly – getting targeted traffic and interested visitors to your website is key on the road to having a successful blog.  This tool is one of my key tools I use at a minimum every week!

What are the Drawbacks of Comment Kahuna

We do want to be real and authentic when we do product reviews – even if they are free!  So we have a few things to share that could be problems if you use this tool. We see essentially three problems with the Comment Kahuna software.

1. The software allows you to automate much of the commenting.  You can create a standard message and url in your comment – different email logins.  Many people do this and as a result their comments just add to the spam out there!
2. The blog pages that are returned when you search – many times are old – over 90 days and the bloggers may have closed comments for the post! – You don’t find this out until after you post
3. It encourages you to post alot and not comment to create or participate in the conversation!  This like number one above is more a function of how you use it not the software itself.  You can take a few more minutes, read the article and post a relevant comment also using the software!    This is how I use it – to identify relevant pages then I read and comment as a normal community member would!  It is me participating in the conversation not a piece of software.  The software opens the right doors for me!

Both number one and three above are more how you use it than the built in functionality.  Overall this is a great piece of FREE SOFTWARE that you can use to leverage your time!  As a successful entrepreneur you must always look to leverage your time using productivity enhancing tools.

Our advice – Get it and USE IT RIGHT to leverage your time – DO Not Use IT as an automated tool
