- A – With The early crowd trying out the new – struggling but loving the newness?
- B – Joining shortly after the start-up experiencing the “growing pains”, “working the bugs out” – helping the company get established?
- C – The business has become real – “crossed the chasm” – committed to updating, customer service and support is functional and adding value – not just a concept. Gains market acceptance, has many satisfied customers, offering additional products. Huge growth – setting all time sales records regularly.
- D – Product has great market acceptance and exposure. Is entering mainstream as a brand. Product sells itself because of widespread market acceptance
- E – Company still successful, not growing any longer, the skeptics even finally get involved because everyone else says it is good

My grandfather is a baby boomer too, he is very old now but he is the best grand daddy’ and was a great entrepreneur too. I learned so much from him. This made me remember him too
my grandfather is also a baby boomer and he is also a war veteran,’`
I love it!
Very interesting and insightful points. All businesses have to start somewhere and I guess it is the growing pains, if the business survives, that eventually makes it stronger. It may even be the determination of getting through that phase that makes it stronger in the latter stages.
